As the month now known as Movember begins, I thought I’d do a big shout out to all those men who will be braving the jokes and smirks of partners and colleagues to grow a supportive ‘tache over the coming weeks.
On my travels, the one place I’ve found where perfecting the humble ‘tache is an art form is most definitely India - they certainly know how to cultivate a good one! I’ve curated a collection of my favourite ‘taches, which I’m hoping may give you some inspiration if you’re looking to add a hairy dash of decor to your upper lip this month.
But please - I beg you - bring this month to a clean shaven end!
A meeting of Mo's - Chandni Chowk, Delhi
A mo-mentous welcome - going for facial gold at the Imperial Hotel, Delhi
More than mo-st - on the streets of Jodhpur
Mo in training - neatly trimmed and proud of it in Jodhpur
Iny, meany, miny, mo - wall art in Fort Cochin, Kerala
Mysterious mo (what would a full frontal hold?) - man on the street in Jaipur
Melancholy mo - deep in thought in Udaipur
No mo could hide his merriment - village chief, Mihir in the Thar Desert, Rajasthan
Mo-gnum PI - okay so I thought our guide in Delhi (Bharat) looked like an aging Indian Tom Selleck!
The mo-miester, Mo-hatma Gandhi
