Colombia is a bit of a gem. On my recent visit I discovered a country that has a lot to offer from culture to beaches, pretty colonial towns and vibrant cities, hiking in lush rainforests, abundant wildlife and indigenous communities unaffected by the outside world.

And to be honest, Colombia has had its fair share of bad press given that for decades the country was torn apart by a drugs war and conflicts with leftist groups.
